SPECT/CT HD (Scintigraphic Examinations)

With 4-section SPECT / CT HD, all scintigraphic shots are performed using superior imaging technology. Scintigraphic tests in nuclear medicine enables visualization of tissue function at the cellular level with very low dose of radioactive substances that can reveal different organ diseases before anatomical disorders occur, without any side effects.

SPECT/CT HD, is a nuclear medicine tomography device that provides images using gamma rays.

  • Low doses are given
  • The shooting time is less than half.
  • 3D and SPECT / CT HD quality images are obtained.
  • The dual detector system allows shooting in any position, including standing, sitting, wheelchair and stretcher positions.

Thanks to different radioactive substances that can enter by different physiological and metabolic pathways, nuclear medicine methods that display tissue function at the cellular level make important contributions to the early diagnosis of many pathophysiological processes.

SPECT / CT HD provides the following unique functional information in nuclear medicine: Evaluation of coronary artery diseases / ischemia by demonstrating the blood supply of the heart muscle; determination of heart muscle viability and risk patients; examination of thyroid nodules and showing hot-cold characters; investigation of parathyroid adenomas, investigation of renal function and determination of hypertension caused by renal vessels; evaluation of many bone diseases including malignancies by demonstrating early metabolic changes in the bones without any radiographic changes; demonstration of infection / inflammation foci by marking the patient's own leukocytes with radioactive substances; identifying the location of gastrointestinal bleeding by again marking the patient's own blood cells; examination of pulmonary blood supply and ventilation in cases of pulmonary embolism; localization of meckel diverticulae in children.

SPECT / CT HD; The methods such as Determination of gastric emptying time, gastroesophageal and vesicoureteral reflux with very low radiation doses can be done more easily and noninvasively than other methods and are easily tolerated by the patient. In addition to these, it is one of the most important modalities that direct surgery during surgery and prevents unnecessary complications such as sentinel lymph node scintigraphy, breast cancer and malignant melanoma with intraoperative gamma probe application.

SPECT / CT; Major examinations among nuclear imaging methods are;

  • Myocardial perfusion SPECT / CT HD scintigraphy
  • Bone scintigraphy
  • Dynamic and static renal scintigraphy
  • Thyroid scintigraphy
  • Parathyroid scintigraphy
  • Lung perfusion / ventilation scintigraphy
  • Marked leukocyte scintigraphy
  • Gastrointestinal bleeding site determination
